Explore the new book by Bróna McVittie

This book of mythological poems, songs and stories all started from a conversation with my mother, my mother-in-law, and a visiting friend from San Francisco.

We were speaking about fairies with such casual familiarity that it left our guest visibly stunned. Later, he suggested, half in jest, that my next album should be an ode to the fairies. And just like that, the seed was planted.

A short while later I was jumping up and down for joy when I got some grant funding for the research and development phase of the project.

This folklore anthology has directly inspired my Supernatural album (due for release in the autumn 2026). The beautiful illustrations are by Lithuanian artist Karina Surpina.
